The second Cowlitz Wind Music and Arts Festival. On June 20,21 in downtown Longview. A free street fair featuring craft booths, a young age art show 0 -19 years, food trucks and beer garden. Two stages of music featuring local and regional musicians performing over the two day festival.
Opening the weekend at 4:30 pm is “Under the Deku Trees” (Anime Jazz) Fresh interpretations of iconic anime and video game sound tracks.
6 pm “The Pillchuck Boyz” reggae, funk and deep woods Dub https://thepilchuckboyz.com/ 7 pm Money to Burn Classic Rock from a local young band. Proving rock and roll is still alive. Friday night's headliner is The North West Women in Rhythm & Blues featuring an evening of Carol King and Janis Joplin. http://www.nwwomenblues.com/ MAIN STAGE SATURDAY 2 pm The Bill Cumins Jazz Group a collective of Cowlitz Counties jazz world 3 pm The Thigs indie rock with a shot of raw, local boys do like to rock 4 pm Cassettes on Crime, New Wave Ska, PDX Ska since 2024 5 pm Mad Man Across the Water (Solo) Essence of Elton John, out of Seattle 6 pm Wonderly Road Classic outlaw country rock, Hailing from Castle Rock 7:30 pm Saturday's Hedlinier is Funk Junkies local to Longview funk with a great horn section
Friday and Saturday there is an open mic Busking Stage. This stage is open to all players of acoustic music. All kinds are welcome. Please txt 425 210 2686 to sign up. Or just show up and ask to play a slot. 3 pm to 8 pm daily.
