Humanistic Hope Invites Chamber Members to Take Part in Save A Life Day 2026
Thursday, September 24, 2026 | Cowlitz County
Humanistic Hope is inviting Kelso Longview Chamber of Commerce members and organizations throughout our community to take part in Save A Life Day 2026 on Thursday, September 24.
Humanistic Hope is proud to serve as the Washington State Organizer for Save A Life Day, helping coordinate and grow participation across Washington while continuing to lead efforts right here in Southwest Washington.
This year marks Humanistic Hope’s third year participating in Save A Life Day. Three years ago, Humanistic Hope helped put Washington State on the Save A Life Day map as one of the earliest participating organizations in the state and the first organization in Southwest Washington to join the national movement.
Save A Life Day is a nationwide effort focused on overdose prevention, increasing access to naloxone, harm reduction, recovery support, education, and breaking the stigma surrounding substance use disorder and mental health challenges.
Become a Save A Life Day Location
We want Save A Life Day to reach beyond one organization or one location. We are looking for businesses, nonprofits, churches, community centers, healthcare providers, schools, recovery organizations, and other community gathering spaces throughout Cowlitz County to participate.
Your organization can become a Save A Life Day naloxone distribution location on September 24.
Humanistic Hope can provide participating locations with:
- FREE Naloxone Kits
- FREE Overdose Response Training
- FREE Harm Reduction Education
- Resource and recovery information
- Promotion as a participating Save A Life Day location
- Placement on the Save A Life Day map as a location where community members can pick up free naloxone
No previous experience is necessary. Humanistic Hope team members are certified through the Washington State Health Care Authority to provide naloxone administration and overdose response education.
Already Participating in Give More 24!? Join Us!
September 24 is also Give More 24!, and we know many local nonprofits and community organizations may already be planning fundraisers, open houses, activities, or special events.
Why not make Save A Life Day part of what you are already doing?
You do not have to create another event. If your organization already has something happening for Give More 24!, you can also become a Save A Life Day distribution location.
We can promote your participation through our Save A Life Day outreach and identify your organization as a location where community members can stop by for free naloxone.
That means additional exposure for your organization and your Give More 24! activities while also giving your visitors access to an important life-saving resource.
It's an opportunity for all of us to support one another, bring more people through our doors, increase awareness of the work happening throughout our community, and ultimately help save lives.
Permanent Naloxone Distribution Box Location Needed in Kelso or Longview
Separate from Save A Life Day, Humanistic Hope is also looking for a secure, permanent location in either Kelso or Longview to host a 24/7 Naloxone Distribution Box.
This is not a temporary Save A Life Day distribution site. The goal is to establish a permanent, ongoing community resource where people can access free naloxone, harm reduction supplies, and recovery information whenever they are needed.
If your business or organization has a secure and accessible location in Kelso or Longview and would be interested in becoming the permanent home for this resource, we would love to talk with you.
There Are Many Ways to Get Involved
You don't have to host a location to support Save A Life Day. Chamber members and community organizations can host a site, become a sponsor, become a community partner, volunteer, or help spread the word.
As the Washington State Organizer for Save A Life Day, Humanistic Hope is excited to continue growing this movement locally and statewide — but it takes partnerships to make it happen.
The more organizations that participate, the more places people can access naloxone. The more conversations we start, the more stigma we can break. And the more we work together, the more people we can reach.
Every conversation matters.
Every resource matters.
Every act of compassion matters.
Every life matters.
Get Involved
If your organization would like to become a Save A Life Day location, partner with us, sponsor the effort, volunteer, or talk with us about hosting the permanent Kelso/Longview Naloxone Distribution Box, we want to hear from you.
